Micah Hankins brings a rare blend of hands-on trade experience, pre-construction leadership, safety program development, and construction management to his role as Sales Manager at Experts In Your Home.

His career began in the electrical trades, working both as an Inside Wireman and in the low-voltage sector within the union in California’s East Bay. During this time, Micah gained extensive field experience on commercial and residential projects, developing a deep respect for craftsmanship, jobsite coordination, and code-compliant work.

Building on his field background, Micah transitioned into low-voltage system design in the Bay Area, where he supported projects from concept through execution, bridging the gap between engineering intent and real-world installation.

As his career progressed into pre-construction, Micah also served as a Safety Officer, responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive jobsite safety programs. In this role, he worked closely with field teams and leadership to ensure regulatory compliance, reduce risk, and foster a strong safety culture across active projects.

Micah ultimately advanced into a Superintendent role, overseeing construction operations, managing schedules, coordinating multiple trades, and maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and accountability on-site.

Today, as Sales Manager at Experts In Your Home, Micah leverages his full spectrum of experience — from tools to safety planning to pre-construction and field execution — to serve as a trusted bridge between clients, estimators, and field teams. His approach ensures projects are scoped realistically, communicated clearly, and delivered with the professionalism and integrity EIYH is known for.

Tom joined Experts In Your Home in 2012 as a Journeyman Carpenter and transitioned into Project Management and Estimating role. With 15 years of construction knowledge, Tom has developed a unique set of skills, enabling him to excel in this position. Tom has a passion for helping people improve their quality of life by guiding them through the home renovation process.

Jesse joined Experts In Your Home in 2016 as a Carpenter. He quickly advanced into a leadership role and now our the Manager over our smaller projects. Jesse has more than 15 years of residential construction and remodeling experience. He is known for his calm demeanor, swift problem-solving skills, and can-do attitude.

Jody joined The Hignell Companies in September of 2004. She loves the interaction being out, meeting new customers, and doing estimates for their needs. When the job seems too big, she loves to make it happen by meeting customers’ needs and making the impossible possible. And if customers have dogs, she is even more excited!

Shawn joined Experts in Your Home in 2021. He has been painting in Northern CA since 1995 and been a licensed contractor since 2008. He has a depth of experience in interior, exterior and cabinetry painting as well as in the residential, commercial, and public works sectors. Shawn especially enjoys detail-oriented painting, the customer relational side of his work as well as generating solutions. At work, he likes working with a team and completing projects. In his personal time, he enjoys mountain biking and spending time with family.

Jason joined the Experts In Your Home Team in 2013. Jason has over 23 years of construction experience, building everything from sheds to shopping centers. Jason has a strong connection to the Paradise/Chico community and is regularly involved in multiple community events. His unique experiences allow him to lead teams of technicians on all manner of projects with great success.
